She was predeceased by: her former husband Joe Fitzpatrick; her son Mark Fitzpatrick; her son-in-law John Gallagher; her parents, Waldron Keeping and Frances Keeping; and her brother Phil Keeping.

She is survived by: her husband Herb Banfield; her daughters, Michelle Gallagher and Melissa Carr (Chris); her stepchildren, Brad (Lisa), Paul and Tanya; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kyle, Riley, Madison and Olivia; her great grandchild Kayla; her stepgrandchildren, Emily, Grant and Jessica; her sisters, Flo (Bert), Gladys (Paul) and Ellen (Derek); and her siblings-in-law, Joan, Rita (Bill), Doreen, Eleanor Keeping and Reg (Myra).

In Doreen's memory donations may be made to St. Hilda's Anglican Church and cemetery.
