She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Banfield; her parents, Charles LeFeuvre and Lillias LeFeuvre; her sister Ruby Poole (Newman); and her siblings-in-law, Roy Thornhill and Irene LeFevure.

She is survived by: her children, David Banfield (Julia 'Sis' Whalen) of Fort McMurray, Randy Banfield (Cathy) of Burin, Stephen Banfield (Wanda) of Fort McMurray and Sandra Samson (Craig) of Burin; her grandchildren, Kayla (Nick), Kelly, Alexa, Luke and Logan; her siblings, George LeFeuvre of Burin, Freda Thornhill of Bay L'Argent and Ruth Barter (Roland) of Winterland; and her caregivers, Jennifer Barter, Ruth Fitzpatrick and Trudy Morrison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

In Dorothy's memory donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or flowers gratefully accepted.
