She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Purchase and Bethina Purchase; her husband Melvin Ross; her siblings, George Purchase (Dorothy), Freeman Purchase and Jessie Patten (Frank); and her parents-in-law, Thomas and Gertrude Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Beatrice Fitzpatrick (Ed), Melvina Grandy (Jack), Daphne Roberts (Derek) and Dion Ross (Velma); her granddaughters, Lisa White (Joe), Linda Fitzpatrick (Mark Foote), Heather Grandy (Mike Fairchild), Jennifer Lambe (Stephen), Jessica Chaulk (Kendan), Kathryn Ross (Brandon Smith) and Kelsey Ross; her great grandchildren, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Kasey Chaulk, Claire White (Jared Ocampo) and Melrose Lambe; her brother Albert Purchase (Florence); her friends, Leo and Marilyn Hartson; Laverne Gaudon. She is also survived by extended family and close friends.
In keeping with Mom's wishes, donations in her memory may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center or Hodder's Point Anglican Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
