She was predeceased by: her former husband Gordon; her husband Clyde Brown; her son Perry Bruce; her brother Ray Dicks; her sister-in-law Grace Dicks; her parents, Bert Dicks and Lillian Dicks; and her parents-in-law, Sydney and Susie Frampton.
She is survived by: her children, Marlene (Brian) of Little Bay, Christine (Leonard) of Ottawa, Debra (Danny) of Brampton and Rick (Dianne) of Burin; her grandchildren, Stephen (Erin), Ryan, Krista (Matt), Karen, James (Courtney), Mike (Mena), Austen (Agnieszka), Jenna and Katie (Matt); her great grandchildren, Breaden, Faith, Isaac, Brielle, Aiyanna, Everlee, Blake, Alexis, Abigayle, Jack, Jarred, Lincoln, Violet, Leo, Henry and Cru; her siblings, Catherine (Junior), Elsie, Cecil (Evelyn), Bert (Neita) and Bill (Brenda); and her friends, Susin Senior and Ruth Peddle.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home - Burin (95 Main St, Burin Bay Arm, NL A0E 1G0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 401-407 Creston Blvd, Marystown, NL A0E2M0. The inurnment was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the United Church Cemetery.
In Sylvia's memory donations may be made to Salvation Army Cemetery, Creston or United Church Cemetery, Red Harbour.
