He was predeceased by: his mother Deborah Mitchell; his daughter Evelyn Florence; his wife Irene; his brothers, Benjamin Mitchell (Helen) and Irvin Mitchell; his parents-in-law, Cecil and Anne Pike; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Clarke, Benjamin Pike, Leonard Harvey and Glenda Pike.
He is survived by: his father Nelson Mitchell; his son Cecil (Tina) of Bible College; his granddaughters, Cassondra (Justin), Alanna (Alijha) and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Logan Harvey and Caleb Eugene; his sisters, Florence Harvey-Paul and Alene Clarke; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Mitchell, Dorothy Foote (Earl), Carol Ann Power (Terry), Verna Snook (Chick) and Lillian Pike.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 401 Creston Blvd, Burin Bay Arm, NL A0E1G0. A burial was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at the Faith and Hope Salvation Army Cemetery.
Donations in his memory will be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery fund.
