He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Brown and Henry Brown (Joey); his parents-in-law, Earl and Caroline Lockyer; his siblings, John Brown (Flo), Evelyn Brenton (Morris), Mary Reeves (Jim) and Barbara McNeil; his granddaughters, Sarah Brown and Nadine Parsons Aaron Brown; his daughter-in-law Millie; and his sisters-in-law, Almyra Haggard, Ann Hillier (Sam) and Annie Lockyer.

He is survived by: his wife Olive; his children, John Brown, Daphne Murphy (John), Earl Brown, Marlene Miller (John), Kevin Brown (Joan) and Juanita Brown-Barrett (Derrick); his grandchildren, Kevin Murphy (Mandy), Larry Murphy (Trina), Cassandra Miller, John Miller, Patrick Miller and Philip Brown; his great grandchildren, Robin, Riley, Nicholas Kowerchuk, Madison Keping and Mackenzie Keeping; and his sister-in-law Janet Clarke (Lloyd).
