He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathleen; his sons, Robert (Burin) and Darren (Carolann) of Marystown, NL; his grandson Aaron; his sisters, Marion Crawford (NS) and Betty Foote of London, ON; his parents, William Kirby and Alma Kirby; and his sister Eileen Neil.
