Jean Slaney Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on July 21, 2025, Jean Slaney (Burin, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gerard "Jed" Slaney; her parents, Clifford Beck and Louisa Beck; her brothers, John "Malcolm" Beck and Robert Beck; and her brothers-in-law, Ken Power, Lionel Perrot and William Kelly.

She is survived by: her children, Lana Rascoe (Joe) of Lafayette, Louisiana and Darren Slaney (Ashley) of Valleview, AB; her grandchildren, Hannah Rascoe, Andrew Rascoe and Cian Slaney; her siblings, Beatrice Power, Evelyn Perrot Kelly, Alvin Beck (Madeline), Hubert Beck (Elaine) and Carl Beck (Grace); and her sister-in-law Margaret Beck.

In Jean's memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Slaney Family.
