He was predeceased by : his parents, Roland Doyle and Mabel Doyle; his brother Junior Doyle; his brother-in-law Gary Hodder; his niece Tanya Slaney; and his parents-in-law, William and Olivia Lambe.

He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Bill Doyle (Tracy) and Lisa Doyle; his siblings, Gary Doyle (Bonnie), Paul Doyle (Betty-Lou), Dominic Doyle (Faye), Nobert Doyle (Peggy), Marg Slaney (Tay), Debbie Hodder and Mackie Loder (Ron); his uncle Leonard Rennie (Brenda); his niece Haleigh Slaney; his cousin Joseph Artano (Sylvie); his siblings-in-law, Brian Lambe (Anne), Bob Lambe (Trudy), Tony Lambe (Rose), Barry Lambe (Bonnie), Bill Lambe, Chris Doyle, Lorna Kearney (Rube), Bonnie Doyle (Gary), Karen Molloy (Angus) and Olivia Pike (Tobias); and his friend Bill Norman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In Michael's memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Chemotherapy Unit.

“Please accept my condolences on Mikes Passing. I often seen him up at Dads when we visited and he would always have a funny joke or tease about dad for me! I was so happy when he sent the message that he got a good laugh from dads video. Dad thought alot of him and spoke of him often and is struggling with the news, Please know that He will always think and speak highly of him and will miss speaking with him. We will all have you in our prayers and sending you all our love.”
