It is with sadness that the passing of Myrtle Hodder (Burin, Newfoundland) is shared. Myrtle passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Withers and James Withers; her brother-in-law Eugene Hodder; and her parents-in-law, Florence and Joshua Hodder.
She is survived by: her husband Roland; her sons, Corey of Rock Harbour, Dion (Jacqueline) of Edmonton, AB and Randy (Kim) of Burin; her grandchildren, Tanner, Dillon, Noah, Riley and Mitchell; and her siblings, Bill Withers (Emily), Randel Withers, Ches Withers, Jim Withers, Violet Hodder and Effie Ramos (Gani).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Home - Creston South (Peninsula Funeral Home) (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's Anglican Church. The inurnment will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery.
Inurnment will take place at St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Rock Harbour on: Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 2 p.m. In Myrtle's memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church, Rock Harbour.
