He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Walsh (Jim) and Georgina Walsh (Edwards); his siblings, Ray (late Phillis), Celestine (Yvonne), Violet (John), Beatrice (late Jimmy) and Mary (late Roy); his wife Mary; his children, Marilyn Nash (Kenneth Ackerman), Mike Walsh (Nicole Walsh) and Lisa Abbott (Dwayne Abbott); his grandchildren, Alicia Fitzgerald (Ryan), Allison Inkpen (Johnathan), Alexandria Hare (Stephen), Marissa Walsh and Melanie Walsh; his son Carter Abbott (Cassandra Drake); and his great grandchildren, Connor, Kennedy Fitzgerald, Rachel, Madelyn Inkpen, Penelope, Reece and Joyner Hare.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home (95 Main St, Burin Bay Arm, NL A0E 1G0). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Burin Peninsula Healthcare Centre.
