He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtis Chippett and Thomas Chippett; his parents-in-law, Simon and Sarah Ann Osbourne; his brothers, Allan, Bob (Jean), Ben, Dennis and Randy; and his brother-in-law Gilbert Freake.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Curlew (Fred) and Alex "Brud" (Chris); his granddaughter Nicole (Griffin); his siblings, Nellie Freake, Alfreda Wheaton (Grant), Sally Pond (Lloyd) and Dan Chippett; and his sisters-in-law, Verna Chippett and Donna Chippett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
