Barbara Winnifred Penney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Winnifred Penney of Cannings Cove, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Garfield Penney; her parents, Herbert Holloway and Rosella Holloway; and her siblings, Lorraine Howse, Frances Bursey, Elizabeth Holloway and Eric Holloway.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy, Terry (Norma) and Kenneth (Kelley); her grandchildren, Justin Penney, Jennifer Simmonds, Mark Penney (Brandi), Melissa (Christopher Furlong), Nadine (Dave Ricketts) and Cody (Kristine); her great grandchildren, Kurt (Hayley), Emma, Daxton and Payton; and her siblings, Beulah (Llewellyn), Judy (Terry), Eva (Winston), Bernice, Wattson (Geraldine), Larry (Patsy) and Enos (Alvina). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Anglican Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM.
