She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Smith and Jeanette Vokey; her son Michael Dixon; her grandparents, John, Theresa Vokey, Walter and Susannah Smith; her uncle Theodore; and her aunt Winnie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Vokey, Richard Vokey (Crystal), Melissa Dixon and Gordie Dixon (Adrienne); her grandchildren, Skyler Vokey, Charity Vokey, Tyson Dixon, Sabean Dixon and Jaxsen Dixon; her sister Lorrie Ann Purcell (George); her nieces and nephews, Laurie, Samantha, Jacob, Carl, Taylor and Teagan; and her close friend Anita Walsh (Misty).
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Brenda "Bernice" Smith Memorial Fund.
