He was predeceased by : his wife Angela; his parents, John and Mary Ann; and his siblings, Jim (Elizabeth), Tom (Bertha), Pad and Elizabeth Trobl (John).

He is survived by : his children, Sharon McCarthy, Chris of Edmonton, AB, Michael (Wendy) and Rockland; his grandsons, Christopher (Chantelle) and Gregory; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Madison and Kaylee; his sister Mary Rohlik (late Bob); his sister-in-law Betty McCarthy (Ochre Pit Cove); and his niece Crystal.
