He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Parsons and Myrtle Parsons; and his father-in-law Bruce Reid. He is survived by : his wife Diane; his sons, Evan and Mark; his sister Dawn (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Brian (Kay), Debbie (Dorothy), Angus (Gaye), Donna (Dave), Barb (Dunc) and Blair (Andy).

In lieu of flowers donations in Dave's memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
