It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derrick E. Penney of Carbonear, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 18, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses and Ethel; his siblings, Henry, Sterling (Jeanette), Lucy Joan and Joan Fitzpatrick (Jim); his brothers-in-law, Ches King (Melvina), Herman, Don King and Albert King (Cynthia); and his sister Rose Howell (Fred).
He is survived by: his wife Vera; his son Edwin (Avora); his grandson Ryan (Corrina); his great grandchildren, Easton and Cayson; his brother Willis (Christine); and his siblings-in-law, Cecil King (Sylvia), Gilbert King (Dianne), Ruby Snow (Wallace), Louise Rose (late Roy) and Florence King.
