It is with sadness that the passing of Dorothy May (Earle) Vokey of Carbonear, Newfoundland is shared. Dorothy, born on December 12, 1930, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Earle and Mabel Earle of Carbonear; her husband Bill Vokey; her son Colin Vokey; her siblings, Bill Earle and Joan Brown; her siblings-in-law, Chesley Brown, Selby, Myrle Vokey, Olive Vokey, Anita Vokey (Best) and Esther Earle (Carter); and her sons-in-law, Corbett Moores and Stephen Flower.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Flower, Karen Butt (Ken), Darroch (Bonnie), Karl (Susan) and Keith (Kelly); her brother Harold Earle; and her sisters-in-law, Mabel Earle (Wright) and Marilyn Vokey (Carter). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the 9th the Carnell Memorial Chapel (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3).
