It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Frederick Poole of Carbonear, Newfoundland, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Poole and James Poole; his siblings, William Poole, Bessie Butt, Violet Cook, Mildred Howell, Gladys Jones, Nellie Winter and Margaret Williams; and his parents-in-law, Grace and George Soper.

He is survived by : his wife Margaret; his daughters, Marsha (Daniel), Wanda (David) and Leanne (Rod); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Trickett, Brittany Trickett, Mitchell Trickett and PJ Dobbin. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Slade's Funeral Home (31 Powell Dr, Carbonear, NL A1Y 1A5). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Edward Slade Memorial Chapel, Powell Drive Carbonear.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
