It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Swain (Carbonear, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 5, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Swain and Drucella Swain; his brother John Edgar; and his sister-in-law Jeanette. He is survived by: his wife Valetta; his children, Matthew (Christina) and Kayla; his grandchildren, Piper and Simba; his siblings, Rosalind Butt (Andrew), Maxine Peckham (Bill), Mildred Swain, Diane Peach (Harold), Jeannie Penney (Keith), Janie O'Leary (Dermott) and Melvin (Nellie); his parents-in-law, Harvey and Elvia King; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Swain (Junior) and Jim King (Jennifer). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Joe's memory may be made to Perry's Cove United Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 250, Salmon Cove, NL, A0A 3S0.
