With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Whalen of Carbonear, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 15, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Thomas Morrissey; her stepson Steve; her mother Ella Morrissey; her significant other Augustine Clarke; and her brother Don (Jean).
She is survived by: her children, Tony of Ontario, Joe (Carrie) of Ontario, Jimmy (Lisa) of Ontario and Sharon (Roger Reeves); her stepson Ted (Helen); her daughter-in-law Linda of Hr; her siblings, Pat (Norma Mouland), Tom (Brenda), John (Karen), Barbara (Carl Bishop) and Michelle; her niece Paulette; her sister-in-law Mary Whalen (Malc); her children, Lillian, Billy and Evan Cooper; her caregivers, Melissa, Sam and Allie; Stephen (Cathy), Theresa (Perry Bryant), Craig (Jennifer), Ted (Renee), Krista (Gerard Delaney), Matthew (Tara), Cathy (Kirk Newhook), Kelsey, Tanner James (Emma Voll), Riley Reeves (Abby Rumboldt) and Paige (Alex Manchisi).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Noel's Funeral Home (21 Harvey St, Harbour Grace, NL A0A2M0). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (52 NL-94, Riverhead, NL A0A3P0).
