He is survived by: his wife Ruby Janes; his sons, Glen (Elizabeth), Derek (Charmaine) and Gary; his grandchildren, Tiffany (Max), Matthew (Katherine), Lucas (Emily), Courtney (Ryan) and Steven (Claire); his great grandchildren, Peyton and Sadie; his sister Vera (Ray); and his sister-in-law Olive.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Melvin T. Janes Memorial Fund.
