She was predeceased by: her husband William Thorne; her parents, Joshua Goodwin and Ruth Goodwin; her parents-in-law, William and Eva Thorne; and her sister Alice Thorne.
She is survived by: her daughter Joy; her son-in-law Ford Sparkes of Harbour Grace; her grandchildren, Daniel (Susan) of St. John's and Rebecca (Adam Drover) of Bergen, Norway; her great grandchildren, Levi, Lennox Sparkes, Axel and Maiken Drover; her siblings, Anita White of Toronto, Betty Thorne of St. John's, Lloyd Goodwin (Joyce) of Arnold's Cove and Winston Goodwin (Daphne) of Brownsdale; her brother-in-law Ches Thorne (Evelyn) of Brownsdale; her cousin Winnie Harding; her brothers, Pat Strong and John (Monica Taylor); and her caregivers, Vivian Ryan, Pamela Eddy and Jessica James.
