With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phil Hammond (Carbonear, Newfoundland), born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 22, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Hammond and Thomas Hammond; and his siblings, Jack, Sam, Kevin and Beatrice.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Hammond; his children, Shawn Hammond, Bonnie Mortimer (Tom), Kelly Hammond and Nikki Hammond (Andre); his grandchildren, Amy Mortimer (James), Amber Hammond (Mike), Kaylee Mortimer (Patrick), Jesse Miranda, Jamie and Miranda (Dakota); and his great grandchildren, Meaya, Piper, Nora, Oakley and Luca.

“We are very sorry to hear about Uncle Phil I will always remember when we were a lot younger our families would take turns and visit each other's homes at Thanksgiving. Easter and Christmas for a turkey dinner. . Unfortunately, we grew up and went our separate ways I know this is a heartbreaking difficult time for all of you. Shawn, Bonnie, Kelly and Nikki and all of your family members you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace uncle Phil from (Cahill family) God Bless love you”
