It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Barrett in Carbonear, Newfoundland, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his daughter Linda McCarthy (Adrian); his wife Olive; his parents, James Barrett and Mary Barrett; his parents-in-law, John, Beatrice Sharpe Darling and Kevin; his sister Sadie Genge (Port); and his siblings-in-law, Will Sharpe (Babe), Evelyn Roberts (Harvey), Lloyd Sharpe (Vera), Ralph Sharpe (Mary) and Edward Sharpe (Marjorie).

He is survived by : his son David Barrett (Marilyn); his granddaughters, Amber McCarthy, Wendy Barrett (Stephen Mahaney), Kelsey Jesso (Wayne), Sara McCarthy and Lexie Smith; his great grandchildren, Kyle McCarthy, Drew McCarthy, Reid Jesso, Poppy Barrett, Charlie, Toby and Max; and his siblings, Bert Barrett (Joy), Kevin Barrett (Sandra), Clyde Barrett (Shirley), Alice Barrett (Cyril), Joan Harnett (Bryan Kanarens) and Florence Lynch (Philip).
