We are sad to announce that on November 21, 2021, at the age of 85, Sarah (Sadie) Young (Carbonear, Newfoundland) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sarah (Sadie) Young to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Coombs and Ida Coombs; her husband Thomas Young; her sisters, Bertha Lundrigan (Ray), Susie Miller (Bill) and Ruby Mercer; and her siblings-in-law, Nick Young, Angus Young, Raymond Young, Arthur Clarke, Mary George (Bert) and Irene George (Jack).

She is survived by : her children, Carlson (Mary), Paul (Cheryl) and Shirley (Craig); her grandchildren, Carlson (Rebecca), Stephanie (Dave), Nicholas (Courtney), Meghan (Nathan), Chelsea, Michael (Katie), Samantha (Max), Matthew (Megan) and Hannah; her great grandchildren, Allison, Kate, Mason and Dominic; her brother Azariah Coombs (Mildred); her siblings-in-law, Harry Mercer, Shirley Clarke and Mary Young; and her cousin Daphne Crane. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

During these exceptionally difficult times, we at Slade's Funeral Home are exercising ways to ensure public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
