He is survived by: his wife Pauline Thornhill; his son Robert (Amanda); his granddaughter Lauren; his siblings, Bonnie Seward (Vincent), Stewart Jr. Thornhill (Madeline), Susan Pilgrim (Tony) and Denzil Thornhill; his brothers-in-law, Richard Green (Irene), Ken Green (Judy), Brian Green (Linda), Paul Green (Louise) and Frank Green (Janice); his granddaughter Erica Thornhill; his brother Stephen Thornhill; and his parents-in-law, Richard and Agatha Green.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his loving memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Parkinson's Society.
