He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Karen Gushue (David), Darrell Smith (Nancy), Kendell Smith, Renee Dobbin (Gary), Diane Strickland (Jake) and Garth Strickland; his grandchildren, Jennifer Finn (Justin), Kayla Smith, Matthew Smith, Michael Penton (Brittany), Tyler Penton, Mitchell Dobbin (Nicole) and Mackenzie Dobbin (Mackenzie); his great grandchildren, Harrison Finn and Freya Penton; his sister Nina Smith; his wife Jessie Smith; his parents, Jessie Smith and Llewellyn Smith; his siblings, Leslie, Chess, Cecil, Abe, Lloyd, Blanche, Myra and Phoebe Walt; and his former life partner Myra.
