He was predeceased by : his wife Hazel; his brother Graham; his parents, Graham Mercer and Dorcas Mercer; his parents-in-law, George and Edna Drover; and his siblings-in-law, Gertie, John McClane, John Hart and Thomas Penney The (Suz).
He is survived by : his children, Douglas (Karen), Raymond (Donna), Philip (Gale) and Michelle (Shawn); his granddaughter Tiffany (Drew); his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Rhett; his siblings, Clarence, Rendell (Sandra), Laura and Evelyn; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Mercer, Rosie Hart, Ralph Drover (June), Lloyd Drover and Allan Drover.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
