She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Bartlett and Maud Bartlett (Jack Goodyear); her son Roger Goodyear; her grandson Blair Tulk; and her siblings, Doug, Ern, Laura and Sid.

She is survived by : her children, Julian Goodyear (Gail) of Portugal Cove, Laura Lane (Larry) of Gander, Pauline Tulk (Bert) of Ladle Cove, Wilma Wessel (Gary) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jennifer Goodyear (Dave Dickinson) of Gander; her grandchildren, Kim (Reg), Margaret, Robyn (Chris), Erin Merab (Erik), Matthew (Jami Lee), David (Kristen), Bradley (Allie), Allison (Zee), Sarah (Garrett) and Joseph (Abigail); her sisters-in-law, Jessie Newbury and Mildred Bartlett; and her husband Jack.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Janet's name to the Make-a-Wish Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
