He was predeceased by: his brothers, William "Bill" and Aubrey Ings; and his parents, Eli Ings and Pinie Ings. He is survived by: his daughter Darlene; and his siblings, Sherman (Mary), Holly (Raymond), Kathy, Doreen (Mike), Esther, Mary, Wade (Darlene), Bernard (Angela), Mike (Allison), Eli "Bud" (Terry-Lynn), Georgina (Danny), Garfield (Lesa) and Sharon (Kevin). He is also survived by nieces, nephews extended family.
