He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Carew and Julia Carew; his wife Sylvia; his parents-in-law, Louis and Mary Sheaves; his siblings, Alphonse, Frank Carew, Aneitha Sheaves (Clifford), Selina Parsons, Louis, Fredrick, Joseph, Lloyd, Wilfred and Robert (Edith); his son Fred (Kathy) of Port; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Frazer of California and Mary Carew of Corner Brook, NL.; and his grandchildren, Candice White (Ted) of Cold Brook, NL and Adam (Elyse) of Olds, AB..

He is survived by: his sibling's children, Ty, Graham, Ashtyn and Ryan. He is also survived by his great grandchildren.
