Geraldine Harvey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Harvey (Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland), who passed away on January 27, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Read and Clifford Chant; her husband Martin Harvey; her grandparents, Albert and Elsie Read; and her siblings, Clara Rose (Wallace), Gertrude Farrell (Ralph), Lorraine Anderson (Gerald), Thelma Piccott (George) and Maxwell Read (Alma).
She is survived by: her sons, Max Harvey (Donna), Garry Harvey (Zondra), John Harvey (Sue) and Craig Harvey (Joan); her grandchildren, Jillian (Greg), Michael, Sarah (William), Rebecca and Laura; her great grandchild Max; her stepgrandchildren, Melanie (Marshall), Raylene (David), Scott (Candace), Byron (Rose) and Sarah (Jeremy); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Tori, Samantha, Hayley, Brian, Kara, Aidan, William, Max and Leo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the East Haven Funeral Home Inc. (57 Grand Bay Rd, Channel-Port aux Basques, NL A0M1C0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. James Anglican Church (1 Church Ln, Port aux Basques, NL A0M1C0). A burial was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at the St. James Anglican Cemetery (1 Church Ln, Port aux Basques, NL A0M1C0).
In lieu flowers, donations in Geraldine's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
