She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Gertrude Gillis (Gale); her husband Michael Gillis; her parents, Afra Gale and Catherine Gale (Kate); her siblings, Robert, Gordon, Peter, Johnny, Rita Doyle (Kevin) and Dorothy Oliver (Joseph); her grandchildren, Andrew Gillis and Nicole Gillis; and her siblings-in-law, Wallace (Gladice), Alfred (Bertha), Mary (Walter), Anne (Dan) and Leila (Wallace).
She is survived by: her children, Michael, Alfred (Cathy), Tony (Judy), Peter (Angela), Caroline Wall (Ronald), Mary AuCoin (Barry) and Leila; her friend Betty Tilley (Paul); her grandchildren, Daniel (Lateesha), Oliver (Emily), Robert (Joannah), Lori (Greg), Glen (Wendy), Patrick (Sarah), Lukas (Jenay), Bradley and Blaine (Hadija); and her great grandchildren, Ava, Emma, Emmett, Anthony, June, Violette, Ephraim, Daisy, Maria, Lilah, Norah and Olivia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church.
