He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Spicer and Cassie Spicer; his brothers, Reuben, Wilfred, Ross, Clifford, Donald (Nina), Bill and Roy (Maxine); and his brother-in-law Rodney Francis.

He is survived by: his siblings, Barry Spicer (Elizabeth) of Diamond Cove, NL, Roland Spicer (Leah) of Diamond Cove, NL, Maud Dobbin (John) of Diamond Cove, NL, Winston Spicer (Darlene) of Debert, NS, Scott Spicer (Darlene) of Glace Bay, NS and Minnie Francis of McDougalls Gulch, NL; his sisters-in-law, Eva Anderson and Vera Spicer; and his close friend Calvin Durnford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
