It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Theodore Gillingham of Clarenville, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 1, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Blanche Gillingham and Nanum Gillingham; his wives, Cedella Gillingham and Florence Patey; his sons, Randy and Dougie; and his grandchild Mickey.
He is survived by : his children, Emma (Gerald), Rickey, Rodney (Loretta) and Floyd (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Trevor, Cora, Wade, Nicholas, Alexandria, Philda, Ricky, Tanya, Nicole, Devin, Madison, Mitchell, Jordan, Cedella, Celena and Noah. He is also survived by great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
In honor of Doug's wishes cremation has taken place and inurnment , officiated by Rev. Elsie Squires, took place from the Interdenominational cemetery, Elliott's Cove, Random Island on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 2 pm In loving memory of the late Douglas Gillingham donations to Central United Church are great fully accepted.
