She was predeceased by: her brother Eldred; and her parents, Alexander Smith and Francis Smith. She is survived by: her husband Hubert Ivany; her children, Dennis (Bonnie), Keith (Lana) and Denise (Bernie); her grandchildren, Natasha (Jeff), Meghan, Josh, Kevin, Beth (Ian), Kelsey, Kent and Rebecca (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Payton, Simon, Oliver and Max.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital.
