He was predeceased by : his parents, John Hawe and Rosalind Hawe. He is survived by : his wife Donna Hawe; his children, David (Joann), Scott (Katrina) and Michelle McCarthy (Craig); his grandchildren, Breanna Melnick, Alexandria Hawe, Brooke McCarthy, Nicholas Hawe, Sheamus Hawe, Blake McCarthy and Tanner Hawe; and his siblings, Norma Efford (Russell), Donald and Keith (Judy).
