With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Cox of Clarkes Beach, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 21, 2021 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Geraldine Halleran; his stepfather Leonard Halleran; his father Gerald Sr.; his parents-in-law, William and Jean Sparkes; and his brother Raymond Halleran.

He is survived by : his wife Claudine Cox; his sons, Matthew and Justin Mugford; his siblings, Leonard Halleran (Karen), Charmaine Halleran (Gary) and Loretta Halleran (Rennie); his siblings-in-law, Rev. John Sparkes, Marjorie Smith (Dave) and Elizabeth Besso (Eddie); his niece Natasha Hollett; his great-nephews, Niece, Connor and Adalynn; and his siblings, Gerry Holden and Kim Cashin (Christian). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and friends.

During these exceptionally difficult times, we at Slade's Funeral Home are exercising ways to ensure public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Gerald E. Cox Memorial Fund.
