It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Hilliard of Codroy, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmanuel Hilliard and Shelia Hilliard; his sister Pauline Hilliard; his in-laws, Janie, Russell Samms, Marie Samms and James Samms; his common-law partner Ruthie Samms; and his stepdaughter Jennifer Smith (Ephram).

He is survived by: his siblings, Deborah Field (Jay) of Alberta, Sandra Downey (Leonard) of Great Codroy, David Hilliard (Heather) of Toronto, Philip Hilliard (Cindy) of Ontario, Ivan Hilliard (Marsha) of Doyles and Heather Morris (Billy) of Codroy; his brother-in-law Nelson Codoy (Sharon); his goddaughter Victoria Hilliard; and his pet Rusty. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church.
