He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Smith and Dora Smith; his siblings, Cavell (Joe), Don, Marge (Murray), Alf, Winnie (Joe), Gerald, Jimmy and Edwin; his parents-in-law, Tom and Madge Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Bill, Calvin, Sam, Eva, Mac, Tom, Bob, Emily and Joe.

He is survived by: his significant other Lena; his grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew), Kyle (Amanda), Luke, Evan and Jenna; his sisters, Lorraine and Norma; and his siblings-in-law, Velma, Audrey, Everett, Madge, Carrie, Madeline and Betty.

Donations may be made in his loving memory to St. John Evangelist Anglican Church, Bishop's Cove or to a charity of one's choice.
