David Haines Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Haines (Conception Bay South, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmie Haines and Allan Haines; and his sister Cynthia Gill. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his daughter Kym O'Leary; his son-in-law John; his son Boyd; his daughter-in-law Sandra; his granddaughters, Samantha (Steve), Kathryn, Courtney (Tom) and Brooke; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Hazel Mae; his siblings, Joyce Hudachek and Lorne (Louise); his siblings-in-law, Jack Breaker (Hilda), George Breaker (Karen) and Muriel Walsh (Jerome); and his friends, John and Jean Evely. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations can be made in his memory to the Dr. Jack Hand Legacy Foundation which provides financial assistance to Newfoundland and Labrador families of children battling hematology or oncology related illnesses.
