She was predeceased by: her parents, Beverley Ares and Normand Ares; and her father-in-law Ray Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband Rodney Mitchell; her daughters, Amelia and Natalie Mitchell; her brother Richard Ares; her nephew Alex Ares; her mother-in-law May Mitchell; and her sister-in-law Dale Mitchell.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Topsail United Church (2426 Topsail Rd, Conception Bay South, NL A1W5R4).
