She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Jean Hillyard and Andrew Ewart Hillyard. She is survived by: her daughters, Carly Austin (Oliver) and Zoe Austin (Jasmine); and her siblings, Robin Power (Gordon) and Don Hillyard (Michelle). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Topsail United Church (2426 Topsail Rd, Conception Bay South, NL A1W2K1).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen's memory to a charity of one's choice.
