He was predeceased by : his parents, Vince Doody and Emma Doody. He is survived by : his wife Florence; his daughter Christine (Brian); his grandson Dillon (Megan); his great grandchildren, Lila-Rose and Sophie; and his brother Lawrence.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Hickey's Funeral Home (570 Conception Bay Hwy, Conception Bay South, NL A1X 7P8). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hickey's Memorial Chapel.
