She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anthony and Ethel Anthony; and her parents-in-law, Alex and Irene Batten. She is survived by: her husband Max; her daughters, Marilyn Caines (Val) and Cynthia Chrenek (Ken); her grandchildren, Jonathan Caines (Vanessa), Jeremy Caines (Jennifer), Julia Rose (Freddie), Matthew Jefford, Bethany Jefford and Nathan Jefford; her great grandchildren, Amelia Caines, Meredith Caines, Rory Caines, Garrison Rose and MacArthur Caines; and her sisters, Harriet Morgan (Frank), Joyce Dawe, Frances Dawe (Herbert) and Cynthia Dawe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Violet's memory may be made to Daffodil Place , H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John's, NL and Faith Pentecostal Church, Foxtrap.
