He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Boland; his parents, Jesse Boland and Jane Boland; his siblings, Evelyn, Bernice, Steward and Samuel; and his niece Judy Hazel.
He is survived by: his children, Olga (Alain), Don (Patty) and Dean (Susan); his grandchildren, Matthew (Cait), Lucas (Joanna), Jesse (Olivia), Alex (Madison), Leah, Amy, Anna and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Smith and Mahoney; his close friend Marjorie Aitken; and his friends, Dave Youden, Dania Decker, Dave Hobbs and Jim McClean.
