We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Sarah Barnes of Coombs Cove, Newfoundland. Family and friends can light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. She was predeceased by : her husband Merrill; her parents, Andrew Joseph and Elizabeth Drakes; and her siblings, Mary Jane, Ellen (Nellie) and James (Jim).
She is survived by : her nieces, Myrtice Alpen and Brenda Drake; her great-nephew Marshall Godwin (Glenda); her great-niece Brenda Blagdon (Rick); her close friend Scott Rowsell; and her sister-in-law Rita Drake. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and, a large circle of extended family & friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 1st 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Spencer's Funeral Home-Harbour Breton (190 Canada Dr, Harbour Breton, NL A0H1P0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 2nd 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Spencer's Funeral Home Chapel (51 Bay d'Leau Dr, Harbour Breton, NL A0H1P0).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to South and Central Health Foundation.
