He was predeceased by: his wife Rebecca Brake; and his parents, Leslie Brake and Dinah Brake. He is survived by: his close friend Joyce Thomas; his children, Diane McKenzie (Garry), Cynthia Brake (Barry), Christopher Brake (Debbie) and Terri Robbin Spracklin (Cory); his grandchildren, Shane McKenzie (Beckie), Shauna McKenzie (Pat), Sheena McKenzie, Sherwin McKenzie, Tyler Brake, Candace Kostenuk (Colin), Stacey Brake (Karen), Parker Brake (Trinity), Ryan Brake, Riley Brake, Rebecca Spracklin and Robert Spracklin; his great grandchildren, Faith Lidstone, Max Kostenuk, Raya Kostenuk, Theo Kostenuk, Kyler Brake, Haley Brake and Henry Brake; his sister Ruby Randell (Don); his siblings-in-law, Margaret Brake, Russell Snooks and Ben Crocker; and his siblings, Effie Brake, Mercedes Rowsell, Annie Payne, Joan Street, Leona Snooks, Dinah Crocker, Jane Critch, Judy Brake, Edward Brake (Ned) and Albert Brake. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, August 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
