He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bird and Sevilla Bird; his sisters, Edna Fowler, Marjorie Watts and Martha Bird; and his granddaughter Kelley Wiseman.
He is survived by: his wife Stella; his children, Compton Jr. (Carol Ann), Jenice (Darrell) and Chad (Colleen); his grandchildren, Tyler, Jenica, Victoria and Matthew; his great grandchild Kemal; and his brothers, Denley Bird (Judy) and Robert Bird.
